Hi Ginger...thanks for befriending me! I haven't spent as much time on this site as I want to since I have all my fall books in production now...but soon I'll have some flex time and get into the gab!

Profile Information

Name a fad or something else you remember from growing up.
I remember when Halloween was safe and fun. Parents didn't have to worry about nut cases putting razor blades in apples or poisoning the candy. We even ate homemade goodies and loved them. At sundown, me and a group of friends gathered at the corner and set off on a night of trick or treating fun. We didn't come home until all the porch lights were off, and our shoulders hurt from the weight of our haul. Those were the good ol' days.
What do you do for fun? Do you have a hobby?
I write. It's my escape, my joy, my passion, my stress reliever. If I'm mad, I can create a character and knock 'em off. If I'm melancholy, I can create a love scene and navigate my heroine through the passion. I love the talent God gave me. I can't sing, but I can sure write the words.
Are you retired, semi-retired, or working at a full-time job?
I retired in 2003 from the University of California as an undergraduate Academic Counselor. For the previous twenty years, I'd worked with graduate students, and once I had the big picture complete, I wanted to devote time to writing. I have to say that retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be. My retirement is a portion of my wages, and I miss the interaction with my friends and colleagues.
Do you have a website, blogspot or more?
I do! My website is:
http://www.gingersimpson.com
and my blog is:
http://mizging.blogspot.com
I hope you'll visit and learn more about me. Sixty and Savy? Maybe Over Sixty and Still Learning. *smile*
