Hi Maggie,
I find that fascinating that you and your husband work on log homes.
Welcome aboard Sixty and Savvy. Have a good time & tell your friends.

Hi, Maggie,
I almost moved to the mountains so I envy you. I love it up there. I'm not far, though, and drive up to Hendersonville every so often. I love Ashville, too. It really is beautiful country from Greenville and into N.C. Come visit if you get a chance.

Profile Information
Name a fad or something else you remember from growing up.
My dad was Air Force & we were in Japan when I was in junior high. I remember watching Gunsmoke & Popeye with Japanese voiceovers. It was a real treat to return to the states for TV in English only all 3 networks were covering the Kennedy funeral.
What do you do for fun? Do you have a hobby?
I write mysteries. I started with romance but have turned to murder. The fun is discovering suspects and not knowing who did it until I'm most of the way through the novel. I get embroiled in the plot, setting and characters and let them take me where they want.
Are you retired, semi-retired, or working at a full-time job?
I retired from industry when I hit 45, which was my goal. We moved to the North Carolina mountains and I started writing. My husband builds one log house a year and I do the outside staining & help with the finish work. Thus, Jemma Chase, my main female character, does carpentry.
Do you have a website, blogspot or more?
Yes, a few websites. http://maggiebishop1.tripod.com
