Blogs, websites, e-mail, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, 437 "Ning" groups...I find myself running faster and faster just to stay in place, and I'm losing ground.
As a writer, I just want to write books. Unfortunately, in today's world and for writers of a stature somewhat lower than J.K. Rowling, who is one of the 800 pound gorillas in the publishing room, and Steven King, who can get a six-figure advance just by jotting down an idea on a napkin, writers also have to get out there and wave their o…

Hi Everyone,
My latest novel, The Trouble With Playboys, has recently been released by The Wild Rose Press. It is set during the 2nd World War in Australia, Singapore and Malaya.
It is particularly close to my heart, as my late father served in Singapore and Malaya during the war, and as he was engaged to my mother at the time, he wrote her some very poignant letters which I had access too.
Regards
Margaret

Hi Everyone,
Just dropped by to say hi after our wonderful trip to the United Kingdom. We stayed mostly in London where my son lives, but visited Scotland and Cornwall.
Oh, I think I might have left my heart in Cornwall. What magnificent scenery. I was rather hoping to meet a handsome 18th century pirate captain, (of the Errol Flynn variety), no such luck. Didn't fare any better in Scotland either, saw a few men in kilts, but their legs left a lot to be desired.
Regards
Margaret

It's a kind of political murder mystery. (Though political murders in Mexico are seldom very mysterious and everybody Mundo talks to confesses to killing the Mayor)
It's a kind of romance, unrequited love achieved... but then what?
It's kind of humorous (and not the nasty humor you probably expect :-)
It's kind of a travelogue... Mazatlan carnival and Mexican journalism.
Kind of a baseball book... we don't actually see a game played, but sports has molded these characters for life and the to…

You attend a state wide writing conference, all your fellow wannabes are there. There is an open mic and you read the one piece you have submitted and its gone nowhere. A tongue in cheek play you have written for a contest that it did not win. It is a satirical look look at the retirement community you have purchase a home in. Some people enjoyed it, some laughed, a couple of board members thought it so humorous they are going to produce it to open their spring conference.
This introduces two qu…

Good morning all. So, if you have turned 60 people think you are over the hill? What rubbish.
Shattered Dreams, my 3rd book from The Wild Rose Press was released on Friday, so there is still a bit of life in the old dog yet.
BLURB:
Three young soldiers leave a s…

I've been laughed at for saying it, but I've found getting older to be exhilarating. It’s as though all those younger years were just prep for now. NOW is when I’m realizing all my dreams.
My first novel, IF TRUTH BE TOLD, was published last year, even though I’ve been writing for 30 years. Shortly after that, another of my novels (OF WORDS & MUSIC) was picked up by the same publisher. Then I signed a contract with another publisher on the first novel in my mystery series, LIVE Ringer.

I'm not sure how you came across these words, but I'm delighted that you did, and appreciate your taking the time.
Though we've probably never met, the fact that we both are...well, "of a certain age"...means that we share a lot of common memories of a time and a world that no longer exists.
I've been fortunate in that I've done my best, throughout my life, to squirrel away memories, and you're more than welcome to share them, and find in them bits and pieces of your own past. So please, come…

My literary activity on the world-wide-web is a personal and quite industrious enterprize. When I can find the time I am engaged in creating across this global internet a tapestry of poetry and prose. At this site, readers will find one of my many journals, diaries or blogs. These various terms are used by various internet sites for a series of posts by one writer/author. The series of posts at this site is one of the many parts of this tapestry of prose and poetry I refer to above.
